B. Kamins Laboratories had sent me several products in preparation of the hot Summer season.  There is nothing I like more than skincare products that contain SPF especially since I am not a big fan of getting tanned or sunburnt under the scorching hot sun.

The three items I will be reviewing today are (L-R) Sun Defense SPF 30, Matte Moisturizer SPF 15, and Lip Balm SPF 20.

Sun Defense SPF 30

As stated on the website:

A fragrance- and oil-free sunscreen that provides UVA/UVB protection against sunburn. Ideal for sensitive skin. This lightweight formula is great for enjoying outdoor activities. The sun may cause sunburn, premature aging of the skin and skin cancer. Avoiding the sun, wearing protective clothing, and regular use of sunscreens over the years may reduce the chance of these harmful effects.

Primary Purpose:
To safeguard the face and body against harmful UVA/UVB rays when exposed to the sun for prolonged periods of time.

Review:  I don’t like hanging out under the sun that much, but when I do I want to make sure my skin is protected from the harmful rays.  It is great to use not only on your entire body, but also on you face!  As you can see from the swatch, it is a light pink shade, which actually works in favor if you want to use it as a primer before adding on your makeup.  It is a great multi product.  Your skin will absorb it within 2-3 minutes and feel smooth soon after.

Matte Moisturizer SPF 15

An oil-free, lightweight daytime moisturizer that delicately hydrates and protects skin without leaving it oily or shiny. To help hydrate and protect skin without leaving it oily or shiny.

Review: This item is an oil-free day moisturizer.  It is perfect for my dry skin keeping it hydrated throughout the day.  I also love the fact that, should I choose not to wear any makeup, this product make my skin matte and eliminate any shine on my face.  Similar to the Sun Defense (above), it also works great as a primer.

Lip Balm SPF 20

This soothing lip balm helps to moisturize and protect lips from sun, wind and extreme temperatures. Maple and softening essential oils help to repair chapped, sore lips, and UVA/UVB sunscreening agents help to prevent the breakout of lip sores. Primary Purpose:
To moisturize lips, help prevent the formation of lip lines and protect with UVA/UVB sun screening agents.

Features/Benefits/Results:

• Helps moisturize dry cracked lips with powerful emollient ingredients.

• SPF 20 sunscreens provide protection against harmful UVA/UVB sunrays which helps prevent the breakout of lip sores.

• May be used several times daily under and over lipstick.

• User-friendly applicator that permits direct application onto lips.

Review: Lastly, is this lip balm.  It has become a favorite for not only myself but also for my daughter.  Our lips are usually very chapped, but after a few uses of this it quickly repaired and soothe our lips.  You could also wear this under your lipstick/gloss, and still keep your lips protected from the sun.

These products are a bit pricey than your usual drugstore brands.  However, I believe they are worth the price.  If you need skincare products that works with SPF, this is your brand!
