Fight: Wordpress vs. Blogger

Lately I have been contemplating whether or not to switch my blog over to Wordpress.  It started a few days ago when I learned that Blogger now has a limit on the amount of space for pictures.  If you want more GB you will need to pay a small fee each month.  Now here I am debating on what to do with my blog so I would love to have your input.  I am not tech savvy so I appreciate all the comments I can get regarding this.  I won't lie.  I am considering switching to wordpress but I would hate to lose all of you as my readers especially after all the hard work I had put into my blog.  After a bit of research, this is what I gathered.

WordPress.com and Blogger are two very well-known blog hosting sites.  Both offer many of the same, but yet different services.  WordPress is viewed as a more professional platform, whereas Blogger is a popular choice amongst beginners. There is no perfect answer to which platform to utilize.  Everyone is different and has their own preference.

WordPress and Blogger are both free, but requires a fee if you plan to purchase your own domain.  The time it will take to setup your blog/website should be very straightforward; however, with WordPress it may take some getting use to.  In regard to features, WordPress offers limited widgets that are not available for all templates.  With Blogger, it provides an unlimited amount of gadgets to choose from and is available for all the templates. For customizations, WordPress is a bit stricter and limited compared to Blogger.

Overall, either website is a great selection to host your blog/website.  It is really just based on your personal preference, which would meet your blogging needs.
