Playing with makeup is fun hobby! I love challenging myself to create new beautiful looks. So I was excited to do the Revlon Expression Experiment! Before I began blogging, I would usually buy department store makeup. But now I have opened myself up to also using drugstore brands. Not only have they began stepping up their game but the makeup is much more affordable especially if you are on a budget. With that said, I could not believe the amount of products Revlon had sent me.
The purpose of this Revlon Expression Experiement is to inspire women to get out of their comfort zones and try new looks they could create on theirselves using makeup and to express their individuality.
Now onto the products! In the kit, I received nail polish, lipstick, primers (eye and face), and eyeshadow palettes. I wanted to try as many products from this kit.
L-R: (All Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel) Top Coat, Base Coat, Sorbet
I don't usually wear such bright colors but it is definitely a fun color to wear especially during spring and summer. I know my daughter will love this color too. I applied all coats from all three nail polishes. I had it on my nails for about a week and I was surprised how long its held up compared to other drugstore brands I have tried before.
L-R: Revlon Colorburst Sizzle Canicule, Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Cherry Tart, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Certainly Red
Red lips are a rare look I usually use on myself. Out of the three I tried out the lip butter. My girl friends always tell me how great they are so I just had to try it and see for myself. *Picture is on the bottom* I was surprised that the shade was lighter than what it looks like in the tube. It gave my lips a subtle red, add some shimmer, and kept my lips feeling like butter.
L-R: (All Revlon Colorstay) Inspired and Bombshell

With the eyeshadow palettes, I wanted to use both. So I mixed and matched the shades. To really get the colors, you need to pack it on. I wanted to create a colorful peacock look. The colors were not very loud so I wore this out during the day and got compliments on it.
T-B: (All Revlon Photoready) Perfecting Primer and Eye Primer + Brightener

Primers are very important to me. I look for primers that will make my skin look even either with or without makeup. Like I mentioned before, I usually wear high-end makeup and rarely try drugstore primers. Revlon primers worked very well. I see myself purchasing more in the future. I look a before and after pictures to see the results.
Before
After
I know there isn't much difference in the before and after but I do see that the primer evened out skin tone and hide some of the redness. The eye primer was also great since it brightened my eyes. Now when I ma lazy to wear any makeup I will just put on these primers and head out the door.
This was great experiment that I am thankful to have participated in. If you want to partake in this challenge, go to the Revlon Expression Experiment Facebook page. Try it out! You might be able to get out of your comfort zone too and see what other looks would look amazing on you.
