A few months ago, I bought the Mane N’ Tail Shampoo and Conditioner. I used these products in the past and could not pass up the good deal Sally’s Beauty had for these. But when I saw an article shared by one of my favorite beauty bloggers (Blushing Noir), it showed that my Mane N’ Tail shampoo was listed in the 98 Shampoos and Soaps that contained a cancer-causing, which is cocamide DEA. This also happened with my Lush Fair Trade Honey shampoo. (See post here).
I knew I had to throw my Mane N’ Tail shampoo away but at the same time I did not want to because I paid for it. So instead I sent an email to the company Straight Arrow about my ordeal. After a week no response to my first email, I tried again with success. In a day, a customer representative got in touch with me. She offered me a replacement shampoo without the cocamide DEA ingredient. All she needed was the back label showing the ingredient and that I indeed bought the shampoo.
Yay for a new bottle!
You can’t really seen all of the ingredients but I am proud to announce that my new bottle of shampoo does not contain cocamide DEA.
What did you do with your shampoo that contained cocamide DEA?
