Last Monday, January 15th, I began my 10 day Advocare Herbal Cleanse and promised to give you all an update on how it went. This is my third time using the Advocare Cleanse. The last two times I did it was during the Advocare 24 Day Challenge.
This cleanse is very simple. All you need to do is take 2 Probiotic pills in the morning 30 minutes before you have breakfast. Then with your breakfast, you drink your fiber. At night you will just need to take 2 Herbal Cleanse pills. During this cleanse it is important to eat clean.
This was my first time trying the Citrus flavored fiber. I must say I was not a fan. I really had to chugged it down. However, even though I preferred the Peaches and Cream flavor, Citrus did seem more effective.
I will admit that I did have a few cheat meals during the cleanse. Nutrition is usually my biggest obstacle when trying to lose weight. However, I also did much better during this cleanse than my last two. I meal prepped and kept track of my macros.
Below are body pictures for comparison. In the beginning of this year I took pictures to keep myself motivated. On Jan. 1st, I started at 146.2 lbs, however, I began the challenge on Jan. 15th at 148.2 lbs. I got discouraged that I had gained weight but as you can see in the pictures I slimmed down a little at 148.2 compared to my 146.2 pictures! Isn’t that crazy! Just a lesson to not always rely on the scale. Pictures and measurements are a big help.
Lastly, here are my results from the cleanse. I lost a total of 4 lbs and lost several inches. I know I could probably have lost more, but I am still pretty happy with the results. Now to keep going with my weight loss eating clean tracking my macros and working out!
