I have always admired the Chanel makeup line from afar. I usually tried to avoid it just because of the hefty price tag. As beautiful as they are, I can’t validate paying $34 on ONE tube of lipstick. However, my husband wanted to spoil me so I figured this was my chance.

I have been on the hunt for a nude lipstick so the Chanel Sales Associate at the Macy’s Department Store, suggested this Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipstick in #71 Style. She believed it would be perfect for me since my lips tend to dry out often. I now give you my first ever Chanel lipstick!

I just love the Chanel symbol, don’t you?

It makes me giddy knowing that this was made in France for some reason.

Overall Review: As you can see from swatches, the lipstick is very sheer. It definitely stays true to its word and keeps my lips hydrated, which is a great. However.. as beautiful as it is, I felt that it was not exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something with just a bit more pigmentation. On my lips, you could barely tell it was there. Also, the lasting power on this is just about 1-2 hours. This lipstick may be the ideal nude for some. Unfortunately, it was not for me. So I shall continue my hunt to find the perfect nude shade lipstick that will suit me.

Review: Caboodles Acrylic Cosmetic Organizer Tray in Medium

Now that I have a beautiful vanity (see post here) for my makeup, I wanted to purchase something that allowed me to also organizer the essentials on the tabletop. While roaming around Target, I found this simple and affordable beauty organizer, which I knew would be perfect.

It is perfect. I only have my most basic makeup items that I tend to use daily in the organizer for easy picking. It is very handy to have. I am glad that I got it. If you do not have a vanity, it would also be perfect to put in the bathroom if your sink/counter is spacious enough.

This past Mother’s Day, my wonderful husband had me choose my gifts for the special occasion. We were at the mall and he asked what I wanted. I have always wanted to try Chanel makeup but the price tag always stopped me from purchasing any of their products. This time, I decided it was time to give them a shot.

It feels like forever since I have posted a Project 10 Pan (P10P) update. After a few months since my last post (click here), I am proud to report some progress.

If you recall, when I first started this P10P (click here for post) I stated that one MAC eyeshadow palette would be considered as one item. The MAC eyeshadow palette alone holds 15 individual eyeshadow pans.

Updated Items that has hit pan:

MAC Ricepaper. *Four of the eyeshadows are for sale on my blogsale site or has already been sold (Humid, Deep Truth, Contrast, and Llama)
The lighter shade of my Anastasia Brunette Brow Powder Duo-II
MAC Blacktrack Fluidline

I am hoping to hit pan on everything else by the end of the year. Wish me luck!
